Easy and quick banana in syrup recipe, also known widely among Filipinos as minatamis na saging.

  • 3 pieces ripe saba bananas
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
  • Things/Materials You’ll Need:
  • Knife
  • Cutting board
  • 2-quart sauce pan
  • Cooking spoon
  1. Peel bananas and slice into ½ inch thick.
  2. In a medium pot or sauce pan, mix together water and sugar.
  3. Throw in sliced bananas.
  4. Bring to a boil, then lower heat to medium low and allow to simmer until sauce has slightly reduced and thickened.
  5. Serve warm.
